The world is continuously expanding the use of sensors to monitor our every action.Twine does the same, it helps automating your house and connecting it to the Internet.Twine is a blue wireless sensor block tightly integrated with a cloud-based service. The 2.5-inch square slab contains various sensors including Wi-Fi, runs for months on a pair of AA batteries, and can also be powered by USB. The Twine comes with two on-board sensors: an accelerometer and a temperature sensor and other sensors are available in market.
So what do you do with it? The idea of Twine is that you can set up techie electronics projects without any required rocket science . Using a simple web interface you can configure actions like “WHEN accelerometer sensor gets knocked THEN tweet ‘Someone’s at the door!’ ” Inputs can be anything your sensors can track, and outputs may be on SMS, email,Twitter or any HTTP request.

What Will Twine Tell You?
Twine is an Internet-connected sensor designed to play with, expand upon, customized and fully integrate it in whatever way we could imagine.
Temperature
Orientation
Vibration
Magnetic Switch
Moisture
Cloud Shield
Building this sense of wonder and delight right out of the box is essential to making Twine feel useful. As the Supermechanical team works to improve the device, it’s up to the rest of us to find cool (and maybe even life-changing) ways to put it to work.
