Google's 'Android Auto' takes Driving to Whole New Experience

The idea of Android Auto is simple: Just plug-in your android smartphone and redesigned car-specific interface will be mirrored on your touch screen dashboard which will offer the rout to your destination, with estimated travel time, traffic details, voice-activated-texting, taking calls and lot more android experience en-route destination.
There won't be any Android OS in the car's dashboard.
Google Maps will come with voice-enabled version for Android Auto. Google Map will guide you turn-by-turn to your destination; without ever touching the dashboard.When you connect your phone to car while en-route home, it will automatically show your preferred driving habits based on information from Google and Google Now ( Google loves collecting data on us ). So if it's 6 pm, Android Auto might start showing shortcut to your home. Tap and Go
With voice enabled navigation, music, communication and apps, Android Auto will reduce accidents caused by use of gadgets behind the wheel.

Android Auto sounds much like Apple's CarPlay and interface looks familiar to Google Now.

Google also unveiled the Android Auto SDK for developers to quickly offer their apps in user's vehicles. Various partners like Pandora, Spotify, Stitcher and Songza have already signed on. According to Google, 25 car manufacturers have already extended their support for the first Android Auto-compatible vehicles this year.

Big deal with Android Auto is, Google loves collecting data on us, it will give direct access to Google when and where the owner is at particular instance, what are owner's preferred places say -restaurants, cafes, shops, how they use navigation system, what you search on the go, what you prefer to listen, whom they call and texts, and much more.
With the data collection by Android Auto, Google will enter in drivers mind.
We can expect Android Auto compatible only to Android L by end of 2014.
