Just when you think the technical market is laying low, it comes back with a bang, never failing to surprise you. Boeing revealed it's 'Black Smartphone', a tamper proof smartphone that deletes any data if tampered with. " The phone is being developed primarily for companies engaged in contractual activities with those agencies that are related to defense and homeland security", Bruce Olcott, counsel to Boeing, said in a letter. It's targeted for US agencies and marshals for their homeland security issues.
The phone is programmed to self-destruct if someone tampers with it.
Sealed with epoxy resins and screws covered with tamper-proof coating, any attempt to break open Boeing's Black phone would trigger functions that would delete the data and software contained within the device and make the device inoperable, highlighting it's high level of security. And if Any servicing attempts or replacing of parts are done, it would destroy the product.

| Boeing isn't revealing specs, but the device feature two micro SIMs. |
But it's still unclear how Boeing's self-destructing phone differs to the "kill switches" offered by Apple, Samsung. Powered with an android operating system, Boeing's website says the phone can be configured to connect with biometric sensors or satellites. Other attachments can extend battery life or use solar power.
